Wouldn’t it be best for an economy for electric power distributors to charge customers in proportion to the overall demand for KW-hours, similar to the wireless phone providers or rail transportation (peak and off-peak pricing)?
I.E., In times of the day of high demand, charge proportionally higher per KW-hour and less per KW-hour in times of the day of lower demand.
