The Economist’s technology blog approves of Apple’s solution to its iPhone 4 reception problem, but it continues to wonder whether the company is denial about a larger problem. “When a company of Apple’s prominence slips up badly, it will inevitably be called to account. At the very least, Apple needs to take a long, hard look at whether it needs to change any of the processes that it uses to design and manufacture its phones. Now they have defused a potentially explosive situation, Mr Jobs and his colleagues should have plenty of time to renew their pursuit of perfection.”
