Creative Growth: Sustainable Underwear by Artists with Developmental Disabilities
Sustainable underwear line PACT, from designer Yves Behar of One Laptop Per Child fame, has just introduced Creative Growth – a limited-edition collection in partnership with Creative Growth Art Center, a contemporary gallery and studio showcasing work by artists with developmental, physical and mental disabilities.
Each print in the PACT collection is original artwork by a Creative Growth artist and comes to life as a kind of (under)wearable art. PACT donates 10% of every sale to Creative Growth Art Center, currently supporting more than 150 artists whose work can be found in the permanent collections of premiere contemporary art museums around the world.
As with all of PACT’s products, these garments are made of organic cotton sourced from fair-trade cotton farmers, printed using low-impact dyes free of heavy metals and shipped in a compostable envelope.
