One thing your buddies at Waq al-Waq like to do is talk about the broad scope of Yemen, including its economy. I’m sure you’ve all heard that it is: not good.

Which is why I was delighted to see this article on smartmoney.com titled, wonderfully, “Yemen and Your Portfolio”. It is nothing egregious, of course, and basically just talks about how events in Yemen might be affecting you if you are invested in oil or LNG. And it does provide a decent, exceedingly brief, over-view of the state of Yemen’s reserves.

But the main point here is that, and we are drawing deep from our well of expertise: if your portfolio is heavily tied up in Yemen, I might recommend a new broker.
