Given this week’s attack on al-Qaeda sites in Yemen, I would like to point out a new article from Alistair Harris and Michael Page entitled: The State of Yemen. This piece argues – as I have done in my role on the US AID Conflict Assessment team for Yemen – that a narrow focus on al-Qaeda to the exclusion of all other threats is a mistake of catastrophic proportions that will have dire results for Yemen and US interests in the region.
