Jeffrey Miron
Economist, Harvard
Jeffrey Miron is an economics professor at Harvard University and a senior fellow at the Cato Institute. His field of expertise is the economics of libertarianism and has advocated for many libertarian policies, including legalizing all drugs and allowing failing banks to go bankrupt. He has written four books including "Drug War Crimes: The Consequences of Prohibition" and "Libertarianism, from A to Z."
Dr. Miron contributed the dangerous idea that we should legalize all drugs to Big Think's "Month of Thinking Dangerously."
Government health and retirement programs are on paths that will slowly but inexorably bankrupt us. It is not too late to solve the problem.
The Harvard economist explains why legalizing all drugs—including cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine—would be a better policy than the current prohibition.
