In her first six weeks on the job, White House adviser Elizabeth Warren has met or spoken with a long list of the nation’s top financial industry executives, according to documents the Treasury Department released Wednesday, as she works to overcome skepticism about the consumer watchdog agency she is charged with setting up. The financial services industry and conservative Republicans in Congress fought hard against the creation of the bureau, arguing that it would have too much power and that its policies could make it harder for consumers to obtain credit.
