Following the resounding success of last week’s “Can Monopolies Save the Internet?” webcast from Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center, Big Think, in collaboration with the Wisconsin School of Business, will air Dean Michael Knetter in a live Q&A webcast with Newsweek’s Senior Editor Daniel Gross on Tuesday, April 21, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. EST.
The Q&A will explore the theories behind Gross’ new book, “Dumb Money: How Our Greatest Financial Minds Bankrupted the Nation,” in which he breaks down the behavior and events that led to the current financial crisis.
The live webcast will be made available free of charge on the Wisconsin School of Business website and here at BigThink.com.
Gross is a prolific financial and economic writer and the author of five books. His latest book, “Dumb Money,” was recently released in paperback. He has previously written for The New York Times, Fortune, Wired, The New Republic and Bloomberg News. His expertise spans economic and tax policy, the links between business and politics, the rise of the investor class, the culture of Wall Street, and business history.
A former senior staff economist on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers in both the Bush and Clinton administrations, Knetter was an associate dean and professor of international economics in the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College prior to his current position.
