Mahvish Khan: When I first wrote about my experiences at Guantanamo following my first visit and meeting the old man and Haji, and Dr. Ali Shah, I wrote about it in the Washington Post for an op ed and I was banned from the base for several months I believe because I acted as a journalist. They said it was because I violated base rules even though I’d combed over every possible rule, and I published a photograph of a soldier and they said that that was sufficient reason to ban me.
