I have good news and bad news on the JUNO front. The bad news is that my partner, Darcy James Argue, and Secret Society didn’t take home the statuette for Best Contemporary Jazz Album for Infernal Machines. On the upside, drippy teen phenom Justin Bieber didn’t win anything, either. Further good news, Megan Carpentier and Tom Kleinert helped Darcy and me look great on a tight budget. Megan made a video about how she and Tom guided me through smart second-hand shopping and strategic borrowing to put together a killer vintage look for about $25 (plus the cost of dry cleaning). Tom also worked his sartorial magic on Darcy. He crafted a perfect look for under $100. Of course, the mysterious gentleman in the striped pants, tony ascot, and pocket square runs a secret society.
