Jenny McCarthy is a former Playboy model who is replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck on ABC’s The View. McCarthy is also a leading spokesperson for a group of conspiracy theorists who believe that parents should forego vaccinations for their children because these people believe, without presenting any evidence, that vaccinations cause autism. 

Giving such a prominent platform to McCarthy has many people concerned, and for good reason. Spreading misinformation about vaccinations can have deadly consequences.
