What’s the Latest Development?

Legal experts are warning that the proposed PROTECT IP and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) legislation, currently working their way through Congress, will  cripple attempts to get better online security, violate free speech rights in the US constitution, and damage the world’s DNS system,, reports Iain Thomson.

Some of the biggest names in the internet world have rallied to fight the current round of legislation. Google, Facebook and other online businesses are battling against it and Mozilla is mobilizing the open-source community.
