Killing Net Neutrality is a Good Thing
Internet neutrality stands for everything we hold sacred: from freedom of information to freedom of expression. Let’s be clear about this–from raising awareness of human rights crises to crowd-funding projects that would otherwise be ignored by Hollywood–Internet Neutrality helps even the playing field. It should be considered a basic right.
Last month a federal court ruled against the Federal Communications Commission and struck down Internet Neutrality. As Democratic lawmakers scramble to win the legal battle and preserve the Internet as we know it, a Slashdot user promoted a comment from its community arguing that the end of Internet Neutrality is a good thing.
